Slim Down and Shape Up with Liposuction
A fit and well-proportioned body is often a sign of health and vitality. That is why deposits of excess fatty tissue can adversely affect self-image and confidence, and lead to discouragement. Liposuction, also called lipoplasty or suction assisted lipectomy, is the surgical removal of localized or regional excess fatty tissue to slim and reshape specific areas of the body.
What is the procedure?
There is nothing more frustrating than dieting and exercising without achieving the body you want. Liposuction is a quick, safe, and effective way to eliminate unwanted fat and add body contouring to the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, neck, chin, upper regions and backs of the arms, calves, and back.
By permanently removing fat cells, Liposuction sculpts and shapes the body. There are limitations to the amount of fat that can be safely removed. It is also important for patients to focus on leading a healthy postoperative lifestyle in order to maintain results and limit health risks.
How it works
At Kevitch, Chung, & Jan Aesthetic Surgery Associates, we use a tumescent liposuction technique, which we feel gives our patients the advantage of precise results and faster healing time.
Liposuction is performed using small, inconspicuous incisions hidden within the natural creases and contours of the body. Using a thin, hollow tube inserted through the incisions to loosen excess fat, the dislodged fat is then suctioned out of the body.
