Minimally Invasive Leg Vein Treatment
Spider veins can cause swelling and pain, as well as discomfort and shame about wearing clothing that exposes the legs. Our minimally invasive treatment options will help reduce the appearance of leg veins such as spider veins and help restore your confidence.
What is the procedure?
Spider veins are most commonly located on the face and legs. Varicose veins are centralized on the calf and backside of the leg. The cause of these veins can be associated with genetics, weight gain, and hormonal fluctuations from pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy, as well as sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
In addition to being unsightly, these veins can sometimes be related to pain and discomfort and can leave you feeling limited in available comfortable clothing options. Laser vein removal is quickly becoming a common treatment to effectively reduce the appearance of spider veins and small to medium varicose veins.
While laser therapy can be effective in treating small to medium-sized veins, Sclerotherapy injections in conjunction with laser therapy can help treat medium to larger veins.
How it works
Laser therapy for vein treatment uses a highly focused beam of light to externally treat spider veins and tiny varicose veins just under the skin’s surface. Typically a patient will need multiple sessions every 6 to 12 weeks, as prescribed by a doctor.
Sclerotherapy involves injecting a saline solution directly into the vein, irritating the lining of the blood vessel causing it to collapse and stick together, thus causing the blood to clot. This causes the vessel to turn into scar tissue that fades from view.
